Rails on Wheels
Rails on Wheels is a model railroad club whose members build and display a large HO scale modular layout. Members are from a wide area stretching from Toledo to Flint, Lansing and Detroit's northeast suburbs. Over the 20 years it has been in existence, Rails on Wheels has displayed its layout at over 125 events, including the National Train Shows in Columbus, Ohio (1992), Madison, Wisconsin (1997), and Detroit, Michigan (2007).
The Operations Road Show project, which uses a separate portable layout to demonstrate and teach timetable and train order operation techniques, is affiliated with Rails on Wheels.
No previous experience is necessary to join Rails on Wheels.
