About:

I got my first train in elementary school (although I couldn't tell you what it was, but it had three rail track). My brother and I played with it for quite a while before it got put into a box and ended up in the attic. I didn't think more about trains until college when I got an N scale Bachmann starter set.

From that moment I was hooked. I slowly added more pieces of track, more rolling stock. I even tried to build a layout, but I was constrained for space and it never really developed. After I got married and moved to an apartment, I thought I would finally have enough space to build a layout, but had to settle for a simple shelf switcher that never got finished.

Living in Denver, CO I came to experience Caboose Hobbies and see how much there was in the world of model railroading. Eventually, a friend of mine offer me some space in his spare bedroom and I built my first real layout.

Things progressed nicely until we moved back to Texas and our new home did not have room for The Adrisport and Codyville. After sitting in the garage for a few years, it was finally dismantled. All engines, rolling stock, and structures were saved and stored for some future day when a new railroad will rise up.

Having three small children, I have put any new layout plans on hold. I am always thinking and planning for that next layout. The kids love trains, so it may be sooner that I expect.
